China National Pharmaceutical
Industy Corporation Limited(abbreviated as CNPIC),a
subsidiary of China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation(abbreviated
as SINOPHARM),is an economic entity of R & D,production,trade
and investment.
The former entity of CNPIC ,China National Pharmaceutical
Industry Corporation,was established in 1964 and was
one of the 12 professional corporations(trusts) trial-run
by the State at that time.Since the foundation of the
State Pharmaceutical Administration of China(abbreviated
as SPAC,former SFDA) in 1978,it has become a professional
corporation under the jurisdicition of SPAC in charge
of chemical pharmaceutical industry.Registering itself
with the State Administration of Industry and Commerce
in 1986,China National Pharmaceutical Industry Corporation
has turned into an enterprise like corporation.
In September 2004,The State-owned Assets Supervision
and Administration Commission,that supervises the state-owned
enterprises on behalf of the state,gave its approval
to CNPIC to re-organize with Xi'an Topsun Group .China
National Pharmaceutical Industy Corporation turns into
China National Pharmaceutical Industy Corporation Limited
with a registered capital of 955.61 million yuan and
total assets of 1.668 billion yuan.Since 1980,CNPIC
has entered into cooperation with well-known foreign
multinational companies and established dozens of Sino-foreign
joint ventures ,including China Otsuka Pharmaceutical
Company Ltd.,Xi'an-Janssen Pharmaceutical Ltd.,Sino-American
Shanghai Squibb Pharmaceuticals Ltd.,Sino-Swed Pharmaecutical
Corp.Ltd.,Suzhou Capsugel Ltd.,etc.There are also more
than twenty subsidiaries and associations in pharmaceutical
commerical trade and industrial production under CNPIC,such
as China National Pharmaceutical Intusty Shareholding
Co.,Ltd.,Beijing Zhongxin Pharmaceutical Trade Company
,Hubei Yibao International Pharmaceucal Co.,Ltd.,etc.CNPIC
will continue to grow at an increasing pace ,aiming
to turn itself into a high-level international company
covering R & D,industrial production and commerical
trade. |
